Hur l\u00e4nge \u00e4r rimligt? N\u00e4r ska ett barn f\u00e5 en egen surfplatta eller mobil? Och hur s\u00e4tter man gr\u00e4nser utan att varje kv\u00e4ll slutar i tjat? F\u00f6r de flesta familjer handlar det inte om att f\u00f6rbjuda sk\u00e4rmar, utan om att f\u00e5 in dem p\u00e5 en niv\u00e5 som fungerar med s\u00f6mn, skola, lek och familjelivet.<\/p>\n<p>Folkh\u00e4lsomyndigheten kom med nationella rekommendationer den 2 september 2024, och de ger en tydlig grund att st\u00e5 p\u00e5. R\u00e5den g\u00e4ller fr\u00e4mst barns sk\u00e4rmanv\u00e4ndning p\u00e5 fritiden, allts\u00e5 inte skolarbete eller digitala hj\u00e4lpmedel som barnet kan beh\u00f6va av andra sk\u00e4l. Samtidigt r\u00e4cker det inte att stirra sig blind p\u00e5 minuter. En lugn vardag formas ocks\u00e5 av n\u00e4r sk\u00e4rmar anv\u00e4nds, vad barnet tittar p\u00e5 och hur vuxna sj\u00e4lva beter sig.<\/p>\n<h3>Vad menas med sk\u00e4rmtid?<\/h3>\n<p>N\u00e4r man pratar om sk\u00e4rmtid menar man oftast tid med mobilen, surfplattan, tv:n, datorn eller spelkonsolen f\u00f6r underh\u00e5llning. Det kan vara barnprogram, YouTube, spel, sociala medier eller korta klipp. All s\u00e5dan anv\u00e4ndning \u00e4r inte lika belastande. Ett lugnt barnprogram tillsammans med en f\u00f6r\u00e4lder \u00e4r n\u00e5got helt annat \u00e4n ensamt scrollande sent p\u00e5 kv\u00e4llen.<\/p>\n<p>Det \u00e4r d\u00e4rf\u00f6r klokt att se p\u00e5 helheten. Ett barn som sover bra, r\u00f6r sig mycket, klarar skolan och fortfarande har lust att leka, l\u00e4sa eller tr\u00e4ffa kompisar p\u00e5verkas inte p\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt som ett barn d\u00e4r sk\u00e4rmen tar plats fr\u00e5n n\u00e4stan allt annat.<\/p>\n<h3>R\u00e5d utifr\u00e5n \u00e5lder<\/h3>\n<p>Folkh\u00e4lsomyndighetens rekommendationer ger ett tydligt spann f\u00f6r olika \u00e5ldrar. Hetsiga klipp, reklam och appar som hela tiden lockar vidare kan g\u00f6ra barnet mer uppvarvat. Ett l\u00e5ngsammare inneh\u00e5ll tillsammans med en vuxen brukar fungera b\u00e4ttre.<\/p>\n<h3>N\u00e4r m\u00e4rks det att sk\u00e4rmarna tar f\u00f6r stor plats?<\/h3>\n<p>I m\u00e5nga hem \u00e4r det inte antalet minuter som avsl\u00f6jar problemet f\u00f6rst. M\u00e5nga barn blir mer uppjagade av spel, klipp eller sociala medier precis innan l\u00e4ggdags. Hj\u00e4rnan f\u00e5r fler intryck och nedvarvningen blir sv\u00e5rare. Det som brukar hj\u00e4lpa mest \u00e4r tydliga ramar, vettiga tider och vuxna som v\u00e5gar h\u00e5lla fast vid det man har best\u00e4mt. N\u00e4r sk\u00e4rmarna f\u00e5r en tydlig plats i vardagen blir det enklare f\u00f6r barnet att acceptera gr\u00e4nserna.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5let \u00e4r inte att r\u00e4kna varje minut med \u00f6verdriven noggrannhet. M\u00e5let \u00e4r att barnet ska sova ordentligt, orka med dagen, r\u00f6ra p\u00e5 sig, kunna leka och f\u00e5 tid med familjen. N\u00e4r den balansen finns p\u00e5 plats blir sk\u00e4rmen bara en del av vardagen, inte det som styr hela hemmet.<\/p>\n<h3>Vanliga fr\u00e5gor<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Hur mycket sk\u00e4rmtid ska barn ha?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Som riktm\u00e4rke brukar r\u00e5den vara att barn 0\u20132 \u00e5r helst inte ska ha n\u00e5gon vanlig sk\u00e4rmtid alls, barn 2\u20135 \u00e5r h\u00f6gst omkring 1 timme per dag, barn 6\u201312 \u00e5r omkring 1\u20132 timmar per dag och ton\u00e5ringar omkring 2\u20133 timmar per dag p\u00e5 fritiden. Samtidigt r\u00e4cker det inte att bara r\u00e4kna minuter. Man beh\u00f6ver ocks\u00e5 se till hur barnet m\u00e5r, hur s\u00f6mnen fungerar, om barnet r\u00f6r p\u00e5 sig och om det finns tid f\u00f6r lek, skola och familjeliv.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vad h\u00e4nder med barn som har f\u00f6r mycket sk\u00e4rmtid?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>N\u00e4r sk\u00e4rmtiden blir f\u00f6r omfattande brukar annat f\u00e5 mindre plats. Barnet kan somna senare, sova s\u00e4mre, bli mer l\u00e4ttirriterat och f\u00e5 sv\u00e5rare att sl\u00e4ppa sk\u00e4rmen utan br\u00e5k. I vissa familjer m\u00e4rks det ocks\u00e5 att leken minskar, att koncentrationen blir s\u00e4mre och att m\u00e5ltider eller kv\u00e4llsrutiner blir mer st\u00f6kiga.
